the ancient city of Salaga and call on its elders to hear the
anguish story of the notorious Slave Raiders (Samori & Babatu)
- Don't
forget to visit the site of the Salaga Slave Market
- City Tour
of Kumasi, seat of the Asante Kingdom to witness the role Asantes
played in the Slave Trade
- Visit
the Manhyia Palace Museum, former residence and office of the
Asantehene.
- Tour the
famous Asante Craft Villages: Kente Weaver's Village, Wood Carver's
Village, Brass Makers Village, Pottery makers Village and the
Adinkra Village, to see the handiwork of Africans
- Visit
“Donkor Nsuo” at Assin Manso, (former Slaves
river & market) the last transit center for enslaved Africans.
It is the final resting place (mausoleum) for two African Diaspora
ancestors whose mortal remains were brought from the USA and
Jamaica for re-burial.
- Attend
a lecture on African History with focus on "The Role of
Africans and Europeans in the infamous Slave Trade"
- Tour the
Cape Coast & Elmina Castles/Slave Dungeons plus West African
Historical Museum and pass through the "Door of No Return”.
- Visit
the Famous Kakum National Park & its Canopy Walkway in a
Tropical African Rainforest.
- "Amanee"
(Story telling time): This evening event enjoins you to relate
and share your daily experiences and excitements that you are
encountering during your stay.
- An Evening
Lecture with emphasis on some Aspects of Ghanaian Culture, History
& Religion.
- Farewell
